Fabra Design Challenge – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Fabra Design Challenge (the “Challenge”). By entering the Challenge, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions and Fabra’s general Terms of Use available at https://www.fabra.com/terms.

1. Organizer

The Challenge is organized and operated by Fabra (“Fabra”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

2. Challenge Period

The Challenge runs during the following period:

  • Challenge Opens: May 18, 2026
  • Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT (UTC -4)
  • Winner Announcement: Jun 8, 2026

Entries submitted after the closing date may not be considered.

3. Eligibility

The Challenge is open to individuals and teams worldwide who:

  • Are 18 years of age or older, and
  • Create and submit designs using the Fabra platform.

Participation in the Challenge is free, and Fabra is free to use during Beta.

4. How to Enter

To enter the Challenge, participants must:

  1. Create a free account on Fabra.
  2. Design products using the Fabra platform.
  3. Select between 1 and 5 designs per submission through the Fabra dashboard.
  4. Include a short pitch describing the collection or brand concept.

Participants may submit multiple submissions, provided each submission includes 1-5 designs.

All submissions must be created using Fabra.

5. Submission Guidelines

All entries must comply with the following guidelines:

  • Submissions must be original work created by the entrant.
  • Submissions must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Submissions must not contain copyrighted material owned by others without permission.
  • Submissions must not contain offensive, unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate content.

Fabra reserves the right to remove or disqualify submissions that violate these guidelines.

6. Intellectual Property

Entrants retain ownership of their submitted designs in accordance with Fabra’s general Terms of Use.

By submitting an entry, participants agree to allow Fabra to display and promote their design in connection with the Challenge, including on Fabra’s website, social media channels, marketing materials, and press.

7. Public Voting

Submissions will be open to public voting.

To vote, users must provide a valid email address. Votes are limited to one per email address per submission. Users may vote for multiple submissions.

The top 10 submissions by public vote will be shortlisted for judging by the panel.

Fabra reserves the right to:

  • Remove fraudulent or suspicious votes.
  • Disqualify participants engaging in vote manipulation.
  • Modify voting results where necessary to maintain fairness.

8. Judging

Up to 20 submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges including Fabra founders and invited industry experts between June 1–7, 2026. This includes the top 10 submissions by public vote, plus up to 10 additional submissions selected at the judges' discretion.

Entries will be assessed based on:

  • Creativity.
  • Commercial potential.
  • Brand story and concept.

Judges’ decisions are final.

9. Prize

One winner will receive a cash prize of USD$500 to put towards samples.

The prize is not transferable.

10. Winner Responsibilities

By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, likeness, and submitted designs for marketing and promotional purposes without additional compensation.

The winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities, including providing photos or videos of product samples and allowing Fabra to feature the work on social media, the website, and other marketing materials.

11. Winner Notification

The winner will be notified via the email associated with their Fabra account.

The winner must respond within five (5) business days to confirm acceptance of the prize.

If the winner does not respond within this period, Fabra reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

12. Disqualification

Fabra reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • Violates these Terms & Conditions.
  • Submits plagiarized or fraudulent designs.
  • Attempts to manipulate voting.
  • Engages in conduct that undermines the integrity of the Challenge.

13. Technical Issues

Fabra is not responsible for technical failures, including but not limited to:

  • Platform downtime.
  • Internet connectivity issues.
  • Failed or incomplete submissions caused by technical problems.

14. Right to Modify or Cancel

Fabra reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Challenge at any time if circumstances arise that could compromise the fairness or integrity of the Challenge.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fabra will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Challenge or acceptance of any prize.

16. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for any taxes, fees, or other costs associated with the receipt or use of the prize, including any income tax obligations imposed by their local jurisdiction.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
